Shark Reef is not your typical aquarium- it?s a total sensory experience designed to transport visitors to an undersea ocean of fantastic sights, sounds and encounters. Featuring dangerous and unusual aquatic animals from the world?s tropical waters, Shark Reef takes visitors on a journey through an ancient temple that is slowly being claimed by the sea.
Fourteen exhibits devoted to dangerous aquatic predators. The largest exhibit is the 1.3 million gallon Shipwreck exhibit- where visitors get an almost 360-degree view through an acrylic tunnel. The Touch Pool is a popular attraction, where guests can touch an ever changing collection of animals including, sharks, rays or horseshoe crabs. More than 2,000 animals are displayed at Shark Reef, including 100 different species, and featuring 15 species of sharks.
Shark Reef is an exciting journey through a slowly sinking temple overcome by some of the most dangerous predators in the world. View a diverse cross-section of magnificent aquatic creatures, including 100 sharks, (15 species in all) along with exotic fish, reptiles and sea turtles. Featuring more that 2,000 animals, Shark Reef is comprised of nearly 1.6 million gallons of seawater in 14 major exhibits, including rare Golden Crocodiles, Piranha, a Touch Pool Experience and over 40 sharks in our 1.3 million gallon Shark Exhibit. Guests also experience two walk through tunnel exhibits giving a ?diver?s view? of the underwater world.
